Served Honorably with the United States Marine Corps. Deployed to Vietnam 1968-1969. Diagnosed with severe PTSD in 1994. Contracted Brainstem ATAXIA. A chronic conditional affect from exposure to AGENT ORANGE in combat theatre. Rated at 100% disabled. VA treatment successful when augmented with personal approach. Upon separation from the USMC, involved in multiple professions. Some of which include corporate management, journalism, and consulting in technical and creative fields. Experienced devastating periods of PTSD symptom "self medication" resulting in alcohol addiction, subsequent emotional trauma to family and loss of relationships. Today, living with hope and recognizing happiness when it comes.

Currently involved in pursuit of a personal commitment to be of maximum service to others, "as it fits." and through efforts to maximize combat PTSD rehabilitation effectiveness with a "SCOOT" paradigm teamed with parsed approaches to Mental Health Delivery Systems as described in the "President's New Freedom Commission On Mental Health" of April 2002.
